What she does: Kimberly is the Founder and Executive Director of Black Girls CODE.
Why she's inspiring: Kimberly founded Black Girls CODE after her daughter could not find the education and mentoring she needed at her computer science camp. Since its inception in 2011, Black Girls CODE has brought computer programming workshops and after-school programs to girls in underrepresented communities throughout the United States. The nonprofit's mission is to "empower young women of color ages 7-17 to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders + creators."
