Talented Tuesdays: Gabby Rivera

It's Talented Tuesday! Each week, For Nerdy Girls features a digital innovator who inspires colorful women around the world. These are individuals who should be celebrated on a global level, so we'll start by talking about these changemakers right here.

Name: Gabby Rivera

Twitter: @QuirkyRican

Website: gabbyrivera.com

What she does: Gabby is a writer, a teacher, the Youth Programs Manager at GLSEN, and the author of YA novel Juliet Takes A Breath.

Why she's inspiring: Gabby writes about QTPOC issues, particularly those of young, queer Latin@s. Her work, including Autostraddle articles like "No White Tears: A Non-Guide on Dealing with Microaggressions from Your White Partner" and "36 Reasons Why QPOC-Only Spaces Are Very Necessary", educates her audiences on how to interact with others and how to love themselves.

If you would like to nominate a digital innovator for Talented Tuesdays, please let us know in the comments, or email us at ForNerdyGirls [at] gmail [dot] com.
